In 2006 a pretty remarkable recue took place in the Netherlands.
Lure
The female rescuers on horseback lured a stranded group of about one hundred horses off a mud-soaked knoll where they had been stranded for three days and led them through receding floodwaters to safe ground.
Press and international news reporters were kept at a distance to provive a stressless surrounding for the horses but here is some footage.
